Enzymes are the Secret to Your Good Health and Longevity.

When we eat the raw organic fruits and vegetables, we grow in our backyard we are replenishing the enzymes, which are the living biological factors responsible for maintaining our health. These enzymes affect the biological processes we need to maintain our health, such as digestion, nerve impulses, internal cleansing and detoxification, RNA and DNA tissue repair and healing. They are also said to have influence on the function of the mind.

Enzymes are derived from a healthy diet.

Enzymes are proteinaceous substances that act as organic catalysts that are needed to speed up the specific chemical reactions that take place in all the organs and tissues of the body. We need the enzymes to speed up these reactions, because without them the reactions would not normally take place. They help to move a chemical reaction along without exerting a lot of effort; therefore saving your body a tremendous amount of energy.

Enzymes are made up primarily from the amino acids or proteins we derive from a healthy diet every day. That is why adequate protein intake is always important to keep the enzyme levels in the intestinal tract and elsewhere at optimum concentrations.

Catalysts for chemical reactions.

There are several different enzymes that work within the human body, there are three categories of enzymes: metabolic, digestive and those found in raw fruits and vegetables. Enzymes function by acting as catalysts for chemical reactions in the body, making them function in the best possible manner.

Metabolic enzymes help in the absorption of oxygen.

Metabolic enzymes also aid in the production of energy and are connected to every working organ within the human body and aid in the repair of damaged and decaying tissues. Metabolic enzymes help the body in the absorption of oxygen, assist the ability of the body to deliver oxygen to the organs and cells as they need it.

Digestive enzymes are in your stomach.

Digestive enzymes are present in the saliva, the stomach, and intestines of every living breathing human being. Of the 1300 or so enzymes already identified in the human body only 24 of them are digestive enzymes. The body however, uses up more of it’s enzyme potential supplying these 24 enzymes than it does the hundreds of metabolic enzymes needed to keep all its organs and tissues functioning and maintaining their diverse activities.

Natural Enzymes found in many foods.

Natural enzymes can be found in fruits and vegetables, food like raw honey, bee pollen and virgin olive oil, unrefined oils and sprouts. Enzymes can also be found in non-processed (cooked) dairy foods and raw fish.

Food enzymes have been proven by scientists to have their own set of specifically combined enzymes. These enzymes are needed to digest a particular food. The enzymes in whole foods act to complete those foods particular conditions for development and maturing.

When the ripening process is allowed to proceed without interruption by outside influences such as heat and cold the process of development continues until the food rots and disintegrates. This so-called disintegration, when it occurs inside the body is simply called digestion.

An enzyme is a protein that mediates and speeds up a chemical reaction, but, these biological factors cannot function without substances called co-enzymes.

Co-enzymes enhance the actions of enzymes.

Co-enzymes are the minerals, vitamins, and trace elements which are present in our bodies and are available to our cells. A number of the water-soluble vitamins such as vitamins B1, B2 and B6 serve as co-enzymes, and enhance the action of an enzyme.Co-enzymes are small molecules. They cannot by themselves catalyze a reaction but they can help enzymes to do so.

Cooking food can kill the enzymes,

Keep in mind that every time you cook food at 118 degrees F or more you are killing enzymes. Drinks over 118 degrees F will also kill enzymes in the mouth and saliva. The more enzymes we use for digestion, the fewer we have left to use for body maintenance and we will have less energy. Our supply of enzymes will also run out faster.

Foods like nuts seeds and grains, have what are called enzyme inhibitors. The function of these inhibitors is to prevent the seeds from germinating until conditions are absolutely ideal. The same inhibitors very often prevent the food enzyme from being utilized for pre-digestion. We all know the result of bad digestion as indigestion or digestive stress..Cooking, sprouting or soaking will deactivate enzyme inhibitors.

To preserve our supply of enzymes our body must be cleansed, we must try to eat more raw foods and if we are inclined to eat most of our food cooked then we need to take an enzyme supplement.
